I have had a busy couple of weeks, both with work and family so I haven’t had much time to write my weekly training blogs, so this one is a bit of a catch up.
I have been taking it easy this week due to the Outlaw half Ironman on the 2nd June. The main aim has been to keep the body moving and start to think about what I need to do training wise over the next 13 weeks for both the half ironman in August and the full one in September.
So, on Sunday the 2nd June I took part in the Outlaw Half Triathlon, which is a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile cycle and a 13.1 mile run, and amazingly completed it in 06:13:13!
Monday morning was a tough start to the week, I was pretty knackered and muscles were sore after the Fareham triathlon the day before, it’s amazing how much it takes out of you doing something at the fastest pace you can manage, even though the distances were not something I would normally worry
This week has been all about the lead up to the Fareham Triathlon on Sunday, so training has been short and at speed, with plenty of recovery days in between.
